5 Oil Size Gilding Technique - Material & Tools

Gilding with Oil Size
Indoors/Outdoors
This gilding process uses an oil-based size which gradually becomes tacky. At the proper level of tack, leaf can be adhered to the surface. Depending on the type of size, the track and the method, brilliant or matte finishes can be achieved. Synthetic water-based size is handled similarly, but is only for matte effects and indoor use.
